Much of the charm of Sorrel River Ranch lies in the scenic solitude of its surroundings, but it isn’t hard to get to our exclusive riverside ranch, no matter where you are coming from. Major highways run between Sorrel River Ranch and multiple cities, including Salt Lake City, Grand Junction, Denver, Las Vegas and Moab. Arrival by airplane is easy, as private and commercial planes can fly into Moab Canyonlands Airport (CNY), helicopters can land in our property’s wide open spaces, and commercial passengers can arrive via one of four airports within driving distance.

How to get here:

By Car:

From Moab, Utah – (17 miles)

Head north on Main Street. Two miles north of town take a right onto Highway 128. Continue along Highway 128 for 17 miles (you will see green and white mile markers every mile). Sorrel River Ranch is the second ranch you will come to on the left hand side of the highway. Just past mile marker 17, make a left through the front gate of Sorrel River Ranch.

From Moab Canyonlands Airport – (30 miles)

Take a right onto Highway 191 South toward Moab and continue for approximately 13 miles. Just after you pass the entrance to Arches National Park you will cross the Colorado River Bridge. Immediately after the bridge take a left at the traffic light onto Highway 128 and continue for 17 miles (you will see green and white mile markers every mile). Sorrel River Ranch is the second ranch you will come to on the left hand side of the highway. Just past mile marker 17, make a left through the front gate of Sorrel River Ranch.

From Grand Junction, Colorado – (80 miles)

From Grand Junction, Colorado, take I-70 West toward Utah. Once you cross the Utah border you will continue on I-70 West for approximately 27 miles. Take the second Cisco exit you come to (Exit 204), turning left over the freeway. Follow the road approximately three miles and take a right, continuing on Highway 128 toward Moab. As you get closer to the ranch, you will pass Dewey Bridge, Hittle Bottom, and Fisher Towers. Just past mile marker 18 (at mile 17.5), turn right to enter the front gate of Sorrel River Ranch.

From Salt Lake City, Utah – (250 miles)

Exit Salt Lake City International Airport on I-80 East and take I-215 South almost immediately. Go approximately 12 miles on I-215 to I-15 South. Stay on I-15 South approximately 40 miles to Spanish Fork, where you’ll take the Highway 6 exit toward Price. Continue approximately 120 miles until Highway 6 meets I-70. Take I-70 East to the Crescent Junction Exit (Exit 182) and turn right to take Highway 191 South toward Moab approximately 28 miles. Just after you pass the entrance to Arches National Park you will cross the Colorado River Bridge. From Las Vegas, Nevada – (480 miles)

From Las Vegas, head north on I-15 through Mesquite, Nevada, and Cedar City, Utah. When you reach the junction of I-70 and I-15, head east on I-70 across the state of Utah. Take the Crescent Junction Exit (Exit 182) and turn right to take Highway 191 South towards Moab approximately 28 miles. Just after you pass the entrance to Arches National Park you will cross the Colorado River Bridge. Immediately after the bridge take a left onto Highway 128 and continue for 17 miles (you will see green and white mile markers every mile). By Plane:

Arriving at Sorrel River Ranch via plane is easy: Commercial flights are available flying into Moab Canyonlands Airport (30 miles) or Grand Junction Regional Airport (80 miles). Advance shuttle reservations can be made with our team for an additional fee, or rental cars and airport shuttles are also available at each airport location to reach our resort. Nearby Moab Canyonlands Airport also accepts private planes, or with advance reservations we accept helicopter landings at the Ranch. Please contact us to arrange an on-property helicopter arrival.

Moab Canyonlands Airport – CNY – (30 miles)

Located approximately 30 miles from Sorrel River Ranch on Highway 191, Moab Canyonlands Airport is the base for Moab’s scenic flights, and provides daily connecting air service via USAir.

Grand Junction Regional Airport – GJT – (80 miles)

Just an hour and 15 minutes drive from Sorrel River Ranch, Walker Field offers a selection of daily connecting flights on United, Delta, and America West Airlines.

Salt Lake City International Airport – SLC – (250 miles)

Salt Lake serves as a hub for Delta Airlines and most major airlines offer daily non-stop service into SLC. Sorrel River Ranch is a 4.5-hour scenic drive south of the city.

Denver International Airport – DEN – (350 miles)

Denver is a hub for United Airlines and most major airlines offer daily non-stop service. Sorrel River Ranch is a gorgeous 5.5-hour drive west of Denver.

McCarran International Airport Las Vegas – LAS – (480 miles)

For travelers on an extended trip through the west, Las Vegas is often a convenient airport, with service by all major airlines. Sorrel River Ranch is 7.5 scenic hours by car from Las Vegas.
