Farm To Plate Wine Dinner at Sorrel River Ranch

The Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa will be hosting a Farm To Plate Wine Dinner. This event will take place on September 29th, 2012. Guests can expect to taste some delectable cuisine and delicious wine in the beautiful surroundings of Moab, Utah. If you’re a Moab resident, or are visiting Sorrel River Ranch, don’t miss this exclusive opportunity. While guests at the resort can get the Farm To Plate experience daily at the River Grill Restaurant, the Farm To Plate Wine Dinner is an extra special experience.

The event begins at 6:30pm with a Champagne Garden Tour led by Jason Matz, Sorrel River Ranch’s Garden Manager. You will have the unique opportunity of walking through the gardens and viewing the very plants that produced many of the ingredients that will be served throughout the night. This sustainable Farm To Plate approach also produces some of the freshest and most delicious dishes.

After the garden tour, guests will be treated to a magnificent 8 course meal accompanied with perfectly paired wines. The Executive Chef at Sorrel River Ranch, Richard Potts, is a highly trained professional with years of experience creating some masterful dishes. You will be treated to some Farm To Plate culinary creations like the Sorrel River Ratatouille paired with the St. Supéry from Napa Valley, CA, and the Tasman King Salmon paired with an Elk Cove from Willamette, OR. Chef Potts will also be preparing Free Range Chicken with Dog Fish 90 minute Consume paired with a Sonoma Cutrer from Russian River, CA. While these are just a few of the mouth-watering masterpieces, Chef Potts has many more dishes prepared that are sure to tingle the taste buds. Sorrel River Ranch won’t send you home empty handed, guests also receive a goody bag full of freshly harvested vegetables from Sorrel River Farms.
