Astronomy Night

If you are fascinated by the dark skies, make sure you don’t miss our astronomy night. A rare set of factors – very little rainfall, crystal-clear skies, and low-to-zero light pollution – have created an unparalleled stargazing haven at our ranch.

Explore the wild black yonder during our night time astronomy sessions and see supernova remnants, faraway planets, globular clusters and misty nebulae.
We offer stargazing sessions every Friday night after sundown under the guidance of our experienced local astronomer Joey (weather permitting). Depending on the time of the year we can see the Hercules cluster, the Ring Nebula, the Butterfly Cluster and various planets and stars, and even remote galaxies. Each session lasts about 60 to 90 minutes (telescope provided).

How to prepare

Our astronomy sessions are seasonal and weather dependent. Please check with our front desk for up-to-date information.
We are in the desert and the nights are cold. It is very important to be warmly dressed in order to enjoy the stargazing experience.
