Moab’s epic scenery freely lends itself to the artist’s eye like only few places can. For many, it’s a natural source of never ending inspiration. The bouncing of light, graceful effervescence of water, and stoic mountain lines have provoked artists of all backgrounds and mediums. Private painting en-plein-air and photography lessons are available to our visitors to stir up their creative imagination.
Sorrel River Ranch Artist in Residence, Tim Morse, is available for private landscape painting lessons. Examples of Tim’s work are on view in our lobby and on display at Gallery Moab and at The Grand Canyon Visitor Center on The South Rim.
Each lesson is four hours and includes all materials and equipment: easel, art-board, brushes, and paints. Lessons with Tim can be booked through our Concierge Service.
Moab landscape photographer and instructor, David Brown, is available for private photography lessons, either half-day or full day. He is a Life Member of the American Society of Media Photographers and is a member of the North American Nature Photography Association. Lessons with David can be booked through our Concierge Service.
