The Colorado River is many things to many people. For some it offers stunning views. For others it’s where they go for recreation. For many people and animals, it’s a water supply. The Colorado River plays many roles and this year’s Moab River Rendezvous is a celebration of the river and the people who love it. Come stay with us at the best resort in Moab, Sorrel River Ranch Resort & Spa, and attend the 4th annual Moab River Rendezvous on November 8-11, 2012.
Plateau Restoration is a non-profit organization that hosts this annual event. The goal of this fantastic event is to support guide training and ecological restoration projects in the Colorado River watershed, as well as educate people about the importance of river. The Moab River Rendezvous is a great place for folks who live on or around the Colorado River to gather and celebrate the river, the conservation of the river, its history and the community.
The Moab River Rendezvous is wonderful way to meet new people who share a common love for rivers. It is also very educational. The event features experts who will make presentations on natural history and cultural history. There will also be up to date river education. Plateau Restoration will be holding field trips to notable locations around the area.
Sorrel River Ranch guests who have attended have loved the historic river-running films. This year the film will be “Big Water Runners of The Colorado” and will be shown at the Moab Arts and Recreation Center. Be sure to stick around for the great door prizes!
